About your Sensei

Nearly two decades on the path of Ninjutsu.

With a lifelong passion for the martial arts, I have been walking the path of Ninjutsu for nearly twenty years — a journey that has shaped not only my practice but my entire approach to life.

From a young age, martial arts was more than a hobby; it was a calling. That same dedication to disciplined movement led me to spend five years studying Ballroom and Latin American Dance — an experience that deepened my understanding of body mechanics, rhythm, and grace under pressure, qualities that translate directly onto the mat.

As a qualified TEFL instructor, I bring a structured, communicative teaching philosophy to every class. I believe that great martial arts instruction, like great language teaching, is about meeting each student where they are — building confidence, clarity, and capability at every stage of the journey.

In 2022, at 37 years old, I founded Divine Dragon Ninjutsu — a dojo born from passion, purpose, and nearly two decades of dedicated training. Divine Dragon is my own expression of the art, infused with my personality and shaped by years of guidance under the leadership of Shidoshi Lee, 6th Dan Master at NinjaSA.

Here, we don't just teach techniques — we cultivate strength, focus, and character. For every student, at every stage.

The person behind the Sensei

Beyond the mat.

My passion for teaching extends far beyond martial arts. As a qualified TEFL instructor — holding a GA Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language with over 240 hours of accredited training — I have always believed that great instruction is about connection, communication, and meeting people where they are. Whether on the mat or in the classroom, that philosophy never changes.

I am a seeker of knowledge and a lover of culture. Languages, history, and the stories of people fascinate me deeply. I am the kind of person who will lose hours reading about ancient civilisations or watching a documentary about World War II — my all-time favourite series, Band of Brothers, speaks to everything I value: brotherhood, resilience, and the strength of the human spirit under pressure. Qualities I try to bring into every class I teach.

Outside the dojo I am a family man first and foremost. I enjoy the worlds of anime and gaming, and I find that the discipline, storytelling, and strategy within those worlds connect more closely to martial arts than most people realise.

At the heart of it all, I am simply someone who loves to learn, loves to teach, and loves to share.
